HOODLUMS ATTACK COVID-19 ISOLATION CENTRE IN JALINGO, CART AWAY BEDS

Suspected hoodlums, on Monday, October 26, attacked a COVID-19 isolation centre in Jalingo, Taraba State.


It was gathered that the hoodlums went away with mattresses and other items at the centre.


The centre located at the NYSC camp, along Wukari-Jalingo road was invaded by thousands of Youths who broke the gates and doors of the centre.

It was learnt that the hoodlums looted all the mattresses numbering about 200.


Sources say the hoodlums were seen carrying the looted items on their heads while others used motorcycles and tricycles to convey the looted items to neighbouring villages around Jalingo town.


In recent days, hoodlums have attacked several warehouses and carted away both COVID-19 palliatives and other materials in different cities like Lagos, Ede, Ilorin, Abuja, Calabar and Osogbo.
