"Imo State Police Crack Down on Child Trafficking, Arrest 36-Year-Old Woman"

Operatives of the Imo State Police Command's Quick Intervention Unit have apprehended a 36-year-old woman on suspicion of child trafficking.

According to a statement by Henry Okoye, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), the arrest was made following "thorough investigations and intelligence-led operations" conducted on November 20, 2024, in Amajeke, Owerri. During the operation, three stolen children, whose identities were withheld, were rescued and safely reunited with their parents.

The statement confirmed, “The children have since been safely reunited with their parents.”

Further investigations are ongoing to gather more details regarding the suspect's alleged involvement in child trafficking activities.
