Katsina Government Applauds NAF for Precision Airstrike on Bandits’ Enclave
The Katsina State Government has commended the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for a successful airstrike on a notorious bandits’ hideout in Ruwan-Godiya District, Faskari Local Government Area.
In a statement on Thursday, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr. Nasir Mua’zu, hailed the operation, describing it as a testament to NAF’s dedication to protecting civilians and ensuring the safety of lives and property.
The airstrike, carried out by the air component of Operation FARAUTAR MUJIYA, reportedly dealt a significant blow to the operational capacity of the criminal elements in the area. Mua’zu highlighted that the success of the mission was a result of NAF’s professional conduct and effective use of local intelligence.
“We commend the Nigerian Air Force for their exceptional performance and strategic intervention. This operation marks a vital step toward restoring peace and security in our communities,” Mua’zu stated.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and support ongoing security initiatives in the fight against banditry and other crimes. The commissioner also reiterated the government’s commitment to partnering with the military and other security agencies to sustain regional stability.
