LEADERSHIP CRISIS ROCKS ISWAP.
The Islamic state in West Africa province (ISWAP) a splinter of Boko Haram has been waging a guerilla war across North-Eastern Nigeria and the periphery of lake Chad.
Currently, the leadership of IS in Africa Abou Mus'ab Al-Barnawi the son of the late founder of Boko Haram Mohammed Yusuf has disbanded the Shura Council members of Sambisa Wilaya'at.
According to a reliable source, he was removed due to many concerns about him and other members in Sambisa. Baba Ibrahim alias Ba Yuuram replaced Abou Aseya as the new Ameerul Fiyah, some affected by this change includes Modou Bachir Okoucha, Bakou Irhab and Ya Sheikh.
Sources confirmed that the ISIS leadership are not happy with Abou Aseya. He was heavily criticized as fighters surrender to the military, for hunger, mistrust and loss of confidence from members.
On the flip side, this sudden change indicates the military tactics in blocking the terrorist food supply lines and rapid-fire actions are working. The government must sustain the current offensive and push further to exit the group from the areas. The relentless fight against terrorism continues.
