MAI KANURIBE OF LAGOS, MUSTAPHA MUHAMMADU AND TWO OTHERS IN GOVERNOR ZULUM'S CONVOY DIE IN BORNO AUTO CRASH

Reports indicate that the Mai Kanuribe of Lagos, Mustapha Muhammadu, and two others accompanying Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, have died in an auto crash along the Mafa-Maiduguri road.


Sources say the Governor and other politicians on Tuesday visited his hometown, Mafa, to participate in the ongoing APC registration and re-validation exercise.


The Governor was accompanied by his Deputy, Alh Umar Usman Kadafur, Senator Kashim Shettima of Borno Central, APC State Party Chairman, Hon. Alh Ali Bukar Dalori, Chief of Staff, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Members of National and state Assembly, members of the state Executive Council, some Council Chairmen, SSA, SA, Top party members among others.


While the politicians were on their way back, one of the vehicles conveying the Mai Kanuribe of Lagos had a road accident and crashed along the Mafa-Maiduguri road.


It was gathered that the vehicle lost a tire, swerved off the road and began to somersault, killing three occupants, one of whom was the Mai Kanuribe, while the driver sustained severe injuries.
