MAN KIDNAPS HIS BROTHER’S WIFE AFTER KILLING HIM
The Bauchi State Police have arrested a man who kidnapped his brother’s wife shortly after killing him.
The suspect, identified as 30 year old Sale Bello of Sum, a Fulani settlement in Guggu village via Nabordo, Toro Local government area allegedly committed the crime about two months ago in Safana LGA of Katsina State but was nabbed following confessions from one of the earlier arrested suspects, Abdullahi Tukur, who indicted both Sale and his 60 years old father Bello Abubakar.
Abubakar, however, fled Safana in Katsina and relocated to his sons house after committing the heinous crime.
With the help of the area commander Dutsinma, Katsina State, operatives traced the suspects to Guggu village where they were arrested.
Police also found and arrested a notorious cattle rustler identified as 25 year old Abdullahi Tukur of Baruwa Safana local government area hiding in Guggu.
All suspects have confessed to the crime and would be charged to court soon.
Meanwhile, security operatives on Tuesday killed two bandits at the Duguri Gwana area of Alkaleri Local Government Area of Borno state.

It was gathered that Joint Task Force Operatives in collaboration with Danga Security personnel on patrol ran into an assembly of some armed bandits and Kidnappers, notoriously known for terrorizing the Duguri Area.
The encounter led to a heavy gun battle which led to the killing of two of the armed bandits, while others escaped with bullet wounds.
The following arms were recovered from the scene: AK 47 rifle with breach No.357843, a locally made single barrel gun, 16 live ammunition of 7.62mm caliber, two cutlasses and a knife .
Other items recovered from the suspects are two motorcycles with registration NO. TRN 762 QP and KEY 322 QL, large catches of Bow and Arrows, 1Techno handset and substantial quantity of a certain substance suspected to be Cannabis.
