BREAKING: COURT ORDERS THE RELEASE OF UZOR KALU
The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the release of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu from the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja.
Justice Mohammed who presided over the proceeding said Orji’s release became necessary since the Supreme court on May 8, nullified Justice Idris judgement on the basis that he gave judgement without jurisdiction.
The apex court subsequently ordered the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court to reassign the case for trial.
Eons Intelligence reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said it is ready for a fresh and immediate retrial because it has “overwhelming” evidence against Kalu.
