NIGERIA ARMY ARRESTS BOKO HARAM INFORMANT RESPONSIBLE FOR ATTACKS ON TROOPS IN YOBE
Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole have arrested a suspected Boko Haram informant who leaked the scheduled movement of soldiers to Boko Haram. The information leaked to enemies of the state led the insurgents to ambush troops in Kamuya, Yobe State.
The informant, identified as Modu Ari, was apprehended by troops of 27 Task Force Brigade.
Brigadier General Mohammed Yerimma, the Spokesperson of the Nigeria Army revealed that Ari has confessed to revealing troops movement to Boko Haram collaborators and investigations are ongoing to unravel the network of local informants whose nefarious activities have endangered troops on clearance operations around the fringes of Timbuktu Triangle.

The information leak made it possible for the insurgents to attack troops on patrol. Although the attack was swiftly repelled by troops from the Tactical Headquarters of 27 Task Force Brigade and Army Super Camp 3 Buratai, some soldiers lost their lives.
The Chief Of Army Staff has enjoined citizens to avail the troops of credible and timely information that will help them flush out the adversaries.
