NIGERIA RECORDS 78 NEW COVID-19 CASES, DEATH TOLL RISES TO 2747

The Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that Nigeria recorded 78 new Covid-19 cases, spread accross ten States to bring the total number of deaths recorded so far to an all time high of 2747.


This information was released yesterday by the Disease control agency. Eons intelligence also gathered that the total number of treated and discharged patients nationwide has reached 195, 274.


The latest data by the Disease control body revealed that Lagos State had 22 new cases, Kaduna Statw had 12. Abuja reported 10 cases, Benue and Imo states recorded 9 and 8 cases respectively. Akwa Ibom, Delta, Jigawa and Kano States recorded 3 cases each.


Plateau in the middle belt and Rivers State in the South South recorded a single case each. It was also stated that States like Bauchi, Sokoto and Nassarawa reported no new case for the preceding week.


NCDC adviced all Nigerians to keep observing all Covid-19 protocols. The agency said it is important to observe social distancing, wash hands regularly and prioritise the use of nose masks at gatherings, stating that the virus is still very much around.
