NIGERIA’S CORONAVIRUS CASES RISE TO 122,996 AS NCDC CONFIRMS 1,430 MORE INFECTIONS

Nigeria's COVID-19 cases have increased to 122,996 as the NCDC announced 1,430 more infections on Monday, 25th January 2021.


Of the 1,430 Infections, 744 were discovered in Lagos, 100 in the Plateau, and 77 in Oyo States with three additional deaths.


Nigeria has so far recorded 98,359 recoveries and 1,507 deaths from COVID-19. Meanwhile 1,270,523 persons have been tested across the 36 States in the country.

Lagos State being the epicenter of the infection in Nigeria has been topping the chart since the emergence of the virus in March 2020.


Lagos has recorded 45,684 cases, followed by the Federal Capital Territory with 15,845 cases and 6,622 cases in Plateau State.


The South West State has so far made 36,966 discharges and recorded 292 deaths.
