NIGERIANS SLAM BUHARI OVER THE SACK OF NECO REGISTRAR
Nigerians slammed President Muhammadu Buhari over the sack of the National Examination Council (NECO) Registrar, Prof. Charles Ukwakwe and replacing him with a Northerner.
A report indicates that Ukwakwe was sacked on Wednesday, May 20 over fraudulent practices and suppression of official records.
Four other persons were sacked along side the Registrar.
Some enraged Nigerians accused the President of replacing Prof. Ukwakwe with a Northerner, Mr Abubakar Gana.
They described the development as a nepotistic action.
Recall, President Muhammadu Buhari replaced Muiz Banire, Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) Chairman who is from Lagos State with Edward Adamu from Gombe State.
Similarly, the President replaced Ayo Oke, Director-General, Ambassador of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) who is from the South West with Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, a Northerner.
This made the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose berate the President.
Fayose said, "The President has further demonstrated to Nigerians that he is an unrepentant sectional leader, who does not care about the feelings of people from other parts of the country."
