OGUN STATE POLICE ARRESTS 44-YEAR OLD PASTOR FOR RAPING, ABORTING FOR HIS DAUGHTER
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 44-year old pastor identified as Oluwafemi Oyebola, for raping, and impregnating his daughter.
Reports indicate that Oluwafemi who pastors Christ Apostolic Church, Ogo-Oluwa parish, Ogun State, aborted for his daughter thrice.
Sources say the man of God had been living with his daughter since his wife, the victim’s mother, died a few years ago.
His arrest comes after a complaint was made by his daughter at the Owode-Egbado Divisional Police Headquarters.
Ogun State Police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident yesterday evening.
According to Oyeyemi, the victim revealed that her father had been raping her since 2015 when she was 19 years old shortly after the demise of her mother.
The Spokesperson narrated that the victim got pregnant for her father three times after which her father took her to a nurse where those pregnancies were aborted.
Oyeyemi revealed that the pastor did family planning for his daughter after the third abortion so that she won’t get pregnant again.
He said the victim, upon realising that her father was going to destroy her life, ran away from the house and reported to a Non-Governmental organisation, Advocacy for Children and Vulnerable Persons Network.
The Non-Governmental agency subsequently took the victim to the Owode-Egbado Police Station to complain.
The pastor confessed that all his daughter said was nothing but the truth.
The spokesperson added that the State Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, had ordered the case be transferred to the anti-human trafficking and child labour unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
