PANIC AS VIOLENCE ERUPTS IN BAUCHI CORRECTIONAL CENTRE
Eons Intelligence have gathered that violence erupted at the Bauchi Correctional Centre on Friday April 9.
Sources around the area say multiple gunshots emanated from the Correctional facility but Authorities has restored calm to the centre.
It was learnt that the riot prompted security operatives to heighten their presence as vehicular movement around the facility was restricted.
The cause of the violence is still unknown as at the time of filing this report but multiple reports indicate that security operatives were proactive in calming the situation.
There has been a rise in insecurity in the Eastern part of Nigeria which include attacks on security operatives, police facilities, and Correctional centres.
Recall that Eons Intelligence reported that gunmen on Monday invaded the Imo Correctional center in Owerri, and freed over 1800 inmates, the largest in the history of Nigeria.
It is pertinent for Authorities to improve the security apparatus in this region and ensure the perpetrators of these acts are brought to justice.
