POLICE ARREST 16 SUSPECTED BANDIT'S, KIDNAPPERS IN ZAMFARA STATE
Operatives of the Zamfara State Police Command has paraded 16 suspected bandits, cattle rustlers, kidnappers and armed robbers in Zamfara state.
Police Tactical Operatives while on confidence-building patrol along Gusau-Funtua road, arrested a notorious bandit’s kingpin Sujora Almandawi who was one of the bandits terrorising villages in Tsafe, Kotorkoshi, Damba and some outskirts of Gusau and the state capital.
Intelligence information revealed that the arrested suspect was involved in several attacks on villages, cattle rustling, kidnapping and other related crimes in the state.
The suspect Surajo Almandawi revealed that he was involved in several attacks for kidnapping and cattle rustling in more than 10 communities of Gusau, Tsafe and Bungudu local government areas and collected millions of Naira as ransom as well as rustling of unspecified number of cows.
Similarly, the Operatives arrested a syndicate of 3 car snatchers Mohammed Sani, Bello Abdullahi and Magaji Adam
Mohammed Sani, Bello Abdullahi, and Magaji Adamu with one Beretta Pistol and one Hyundai vehicle confiscated from the suspects.
The Operatives equally repelled an attack on communities under Dansadau emirate of Maru local government area of Zamfara and confiscated 2 AK-47 rifles and 35 rounds of live ammunition.
