POLICE ARRESTS FOUR FOR CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY AND UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF FIREARMS.
A Joint Team of The Nigerian Police and Nigerian Army led by Captain Akeem A.M on special duty at Nyuwar village of Balanga LGA apprehended 36years old Usman Yakubu (Male) from Lafiya Lamurde, Waja Tribe of Adamawa State, Sunusi Yaskuma (Male)aged 26yrs of Lafiya Lamurde, Waja Tribe
David Sale (Male) aged 34yrs. Lunguda Tribe
Chimabe Sale Pwahari (Male) aged 30yrs of Lunguda Tribe.
On 6 June 2022 at about 1506hrs for conspiracy and unlawful possession of one locally-made revolver pistol with twenty-four rounds of life ammunition.
Suspects confessed to having participated in the recent clash between Lunguda and Waja crisis, where three single barrel guns were recovered from them.
Similarly, On 8 June 2022 at about 2200hrs two of the four suspects mentioned above were arrested Suspected to be hired fighters by one of the two tribes, Lunguda who recently engaged themselves in a communal clash, Suspects have confessed to the criminal case under investigation at the SCID Gombe.
The following items were also recovered as exhibits:One cutlass, Three knives, a bow,
Charms and One quiver containing fifty-two (52) arrows.
