POLICE KILL THREE SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS IN EDO STATE, RESCUE SEVEN VICTIMS
The Edo State Police Command on Monday engaged three kidnappers in a gun duel and killed three of them, while also rescuing seven victims in the process.
A combined team of security operatives comprising the police and local vigilantes sighted the kidnappers at the Ahor axis of the Benin-Lagos bypass and engaged them in a gun duel, killing three of them in the process.
This incident comes two weeks after the Edo State Police command engaged a separate kidnapping syndicate in a gun duel during which two victims were rescued.
The police also recovered about N200,000 from the kidnappers during the incident which occurred on April 28.
