POLICE NEUTRALIZE BANDITS, ARREST ONE IN KATSINA STATE
The operatives of Katsina State Police Command on 17th June 2023 neutralized five bandits and arrested one Abubakar Idris, 18, following a raid conducted in bandits' camps in Jibia and Batsari LGAs, Katsina State.
The successful operation was led by the Anti-kidnapping Unit, Special Investigations Bureau (SIB), the local hunters and vigilantes synergy. The Operatives dislodged several notorious bandits’ camps at Marake, Garin Yara, and Garin Labo villages, all in Batsari local government.
Similarly, the team also dislodged another camp of one Audu Lankai, a notorious bandits’ leader terrorizing Jibia and its environs.
Meanwhile, the police are still combing the area for possible arrests of other bandits and to recover more of their corpses.
