POLICE OFFICER SHOT DEAD AND DISPOSSESSED OF RIFLE IN ANAMBRA STATE.
A yet to be identified Police Officer was shot dead and dispose of his rifle at Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State Incident occurred Sunday night (29th May 2022) at a Police Checkpoint.
Sources informed that the assailants ambushed the officer as he resumed duty at the designated checkpoint
His attackers then escaped from the scene with the dead officer's AK47 rifle after a gun duel with officers who were also resuming at the time with an Officer sustaining serious injury.
The incident is confirmed by the Spokesman of the State Police Command DSP Tochukwu who hinted that the wounded officer is receiving treatment at the hospital.
