POLICE REPEL GUNMEN ATTACK ON ONDO POLICE STATION,ONE OFFICER KILLED.
The Nigerian Police Force in Ondo State in the early hours of Monday repelled a gunmen attack on Okuta Elerinla division in Akure, the state capital, killing one police officer during the attack.
Report indicates the Gunmen stormed the station around 0100hrs and started shooting sporadically but were swiftly repelled by the superior firepower of officers on duty.
Amid the heavy gun duel, a policeman identified as Boluwaji Temenu with registration number AP. 207538 was hit by a stray bullet and was confirmed dead while being rushed to the hospital.
