
Rivers Police Arrest 27 Parents, Five Pastors Over Viral Video of Alleged Child Dehumanisation
Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command has arrested 27 parents and five senior pastors in connection with a disturbing viral video showing minors allegedly subjected to dehumanising treatment under the guise of “spiritual cleansing.”
Addressing journalists at the Eneka Divisional Police Station, Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the arrests were part of an ongoing high-level investigation aimed at ensuring all perpetrators face justice.
According to the PPRO, 32 children linked to the incident have been rescued and are currently in protective custody while investigations continue. She assured that the command remains committed to safeguarding the rights and dignity of minors and will not hesitate to prosecute anyone found culpable.
