RIVERS STATE POLICE COMMAND ARRESTS THREE SUSPECTS FOR DETONATING EXPLOSIVES AT GOVERNOR WIKE FATHER'S CHURCH

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested three suspects for detonating explosives at Governor Wike father's church in Port Harcourt.


On Saturday November 28, around 8pm, an explosion rocked Christian Universal Church International, located at Mile 3, Diobu area of Port Harcourt.


The State's Police PRO, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed the development to newsmen late on Sunday, November 29.


He said the suspects allegedly detonated a dynamite in the church premises on Saturday night but no casualties were recorded.


Omoni stated that the command had begun a manhunt for the other fleeing suspects.


He said: “I can confirm the attack on the church with three suspects arrested in connection with the attack.


“The suspects are helping us in our investigations and the church premises have been thoroughly inspected by the command’s Bomb Department,” he said.
