THE SOUTHERN KADUNA PEOPLES UNION RAISE ALARM ON THE CONTINUOUS KILLINGS BY FULANI MILITIA

The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) has raised alarm on the continuous destruction of lives and properties of the communities in Southern Kaduna by Fulani militia.

On Monday, Fulani militia killed 17 persons, critically injuring 6 and rustled cows in Gonan Rogo village in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna, SOKAPU said.

Members of the union visited Adara village on Tuesday and recounted some of the horrors the communities members experienced.

In their press statement, the union gave graphic details of how entire families were wiped out, babies shot at, and the women were hacked to death.

SOKAPU alleged that the Fulani neighbours who have been living around the community for 40 years quietly left the village before militias came around 11.30 pm and left a trail of blood and death.

The union also appealed to all stakeholders to come to their aid.

“We call on all men and women of conscience, groups, organizations and the international community to assist us in persuading the government of Kaduna State and the Federal Government of Nigeria to save us from the swords and bullets of these outlaws.”
