
Troops Launch Coordinated Air and Ground Offensive on Terrorist Hideouts in Borno and Yobe
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have recorded another major breakthrough in the ongoing counter-insurgency efforts against Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in the North-East.
In the early hours of Monday, June 9, 2025, combined air and ground forces carried out simultaneous assaults on terrorist enclaves in Nzalgana, located in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, and the notorious Tumbuktu Triangle in Borno State.
Military sources confirmed that the operation inflicted heavy casualties on the insurgents, including the elimination of Ameer Malam Jidda, a high-ranking Boko Haram commander who held sway over Ngorgore and Malumti villages.
In a related development, troops operating in Abadam axis recovered additional bodies of neutralized terrorists and a cache of weapons during a follow-up operation linked to the recent offensive in Mallam Fatori, Borno State.
The Nigerian military remains resolute in its efforts to dismantle terrorist strongholds and restore lasting peace in the region.
