ZAMFARA SCHOOLGIRLS ABDUCTION: ANGRY MOB ATTACK JOURNALISTS IN JANGEBE
Reports indicate that an angry mob on Friday attacked journalists who were commuting to Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Zamfara State.
Eons Intelligence earlier reported that 317 Schoolgirls were abducted from the school in the early hours of Friday.
It was gathered that angry residents mounted road blocks inside Jangebe town, attacked the vehicles conveying journalists, and resisted security operatives and Government officials.
Sources say the residents threw stones at the vehicles and smashed part of the vehicle, and inflicted injuries on one of the cameramen identified as Babangida Calipha.
Meanwhile, the Zamfara Police Commissioner, Abutu Yaro, said security operatives have commenced a search and rescue operation aimed at rescuing the abductees.
