NIGERIA CUSTOM SERVICE PROMOTES 1,489 SENIOR OFFICERS OF GENERAL DUTY TO VARIOUS RANKS
The board of the Nigeria Customs Service has endorsed the appointment of three assistant comptrollers general.
1,490 senior officers of general duty and support staff were promoted to various ranks among whom was the customs spokesperson, Timi Bomodi.
An analysis of the appointments includes ACG Greg Itotoh, ACG Festus Okun and ACG Shuaibu Ibrahim. Some newly promoted comptrollers are Musa Omale, Zanna Chiroma, Stanley Nwankwo, Ajibola Odusanya, Paul Ekpenyong, Abubakar Umar, Maureen Ajuzieogu, MO Bewaji, among others.
Sixty-four deputy comptrollers were equally promoted to comptrollers of customs, while 128 assistant comptrollers were promoted to deputy comptrollers.
Eighty-nine chief superintendents of customs were promoted to assistant comptrollers, and 220 superintendents of customs were elevated to chief superintendents of customs.
One hundred and seven deputy superintendents of customs were also elevated to superintendents of customs, while 302 assistant superintendents of customs were promoted to deputy superintendents of customs.
Two hundred and twenty-three assistant superintendents of customs II were heightened to assistant superintendents of customs I, and 357 inspectors were promoted to assistant superintendents of customs II.
The customs had earlier endorsed the promotion of 1,252 men within the ranks of inspectors and customs assistant cadres.
