
Lagos Government Reaffirms Zero-Tolerance for Underage Gambling
The Lagos State Government has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on underage gambling, emphasizing its commitment to combating the menace.
Speaking at a press conference with key stakeholders in the gaming industry, the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) reaffirmed its dedication to enforcing strict regulations that protect minors from the risks associated with gambling.
Government's Commitment to Regulation
Mr. Basil Are, CEO of LSLGA and Chairman of the Federation of State Gaming Regulators of Nigeria, stressed that preventing underage gambling remains a top priority for both the agency and the state government. He assured stakeholders that enforcement measures would be strengthened to ensure compliance across the sector.
Upcoming Africa Gaming Expo (AGE) 2025
Are also highlighted the upcoming Africa Gaming Expo (AGE) Lagos 2025, scheduled to take place from February 25 to 27 at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites.
