BREAKING: GUNMEN KILL POLICE OFFICER IN EKITI, KIDNAP A CHINESE ENGINEER
Unknown gunmen on Friday, November 27, shot dead a police officer and abducted a Chinese National in Ekiti State.
Another Chinese also sustained a gunshot wound in the incident that happened earlier this evening along Ado-Iyin road under construction in Ado Ekiti, the State capital.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Sunday Abutu, who confirmed the incident, said it occurred around 4.30 pm along new Ado-Iyin Road.
The Chinese is an engineer attached to the construction company handling the dualization of the Ado-Iyin road.

The PPRO said the police has deployed its men to rescue of the abducted expatriate and arrest those who perpetrated the evil act.
"It is confirmed that a kidnapping incident occurred today at about 4:30 p.m. along new iyin Road.
“During the incident, one civilian, an expatriate, was kidnapped, one shot, while one policeman was shot dead.
“Our operatives are already combing the bush for possible apprehension of the perpetrators," Abutu said.

The incident occurred 24 hours after two kidnap incidents in Ondo State.
The Monarch of Ifon, Oba Israel Adewusi, was shot dead along Owo-Ifon Road at Elegbeka in Ondo State while two others were abducted.
The wife of the Chief of Staff to the Ondo State Governor was also kidnapped along Owena-Akure road while she was returning from Lagos to Akure.
Also, there was a bank robbery in Ode Irele, in Irele, Ondo State, where two persons were reportedly shot and a nearby police station was attacked.
