ONE NEUTRALISED AS POLICE REPEL TERRORISTS ATTACK IN KASTINA STATE

Operatives of Katsina state police Command have neutralized one bandit in a gun duel in Kastina state. 


The information available indicates that the police operatives received a distress call today, Thursday, 09 March 2023 at about 0510hrs, that terrorists in their numbers, shooting sporadically with AK 47 rifles, attacked Bakam village, Musawa LGA of Katsina state.

Consequently, the DPO of Musawa Division led a team of Policemen to the area, engaged the hoodlums in a gun duel, neutralized one of the terrorists and recovered thirty (30) rustled cows and twenty (20) sheep. 

Similarly, on 2 March 2023 at about 1145hrs, the police operatives succeeded in busting a syndicate of trans-border, motor vehicle thieves. Nemesis caught up with the duo of one (1) Ahmed Ahmed, alias “MARKETER”, aged 20yrs of Kabala Costain, Kaduna and Abubakar Adamu, (M) aged 19yrs of Badarawa – Festac, Kaduna state, when they were arrested with a suspected stolen motor vehicle, Toyota Camry, 2002 model, ash in colour, with registration number, KANO – NSR-63BT and had an accident with it along Musawa – Matazu road while on their way to dispose same at the Nigeria - Niger Republic border. In the course of investigation, five (5) master keys and two (2) fabricated keys (cross) were recovered in their possession.  

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to having stolen the motor vehicle from where it was parked, at Kabala Costain Quarters, Kaduna state. The suspects also mentioned one Ibrahim ALABUKUN, (M) of Kawo Garage, who escaped police arrest, to be their ring leader.
