TANKER EXPLOSION ROCKS OTEDOLA BRIDGE (VIDEO)
A Tanker explosion has occurred on the popular Otedola bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Saturday, October 17.
Sources say two tankers laden with fuel exploded early hours of Saturday around 2.30am
The casualty figure from the incident is unknown as at this time of filing this report, and the fire is now under control.
The Commissioner of police in Lagos State , CP Hakeem Odumosu, has visited the scene of the incident for assessment and evacuation for ease flow of traffic.

The Police Boss was assited by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Nigerian security and civil defence corps, LASMA, NEMA, LASEMA, and the Fire service of Lagos State, who have been working assiduously on the evacuation since 2.30am.

The Lagos State police PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, in a statement on Saturday, October 17, said preliminary investigations showed the accident was caused by a container driver who lost control and rammed into a tanker laden with PMS, and caught fire.
He added that no live was lost and all efforts are on to ease traffic along the expressway.
