PORT HARCOURT AIRPORT SETS TO RE-OPEN, AWAITS NCAA APPROVAL

The Port Harcourt International Airport is set to re-open operations.

The re-opening is however subject to approval from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and as soon as it is approved, it will be announced. An official of the airport who doesn't want his name in print because he is not authorised to speak told pressmen.

This comes after the entire airport’s premises were fumigated.

This fumigation is in line with the directive from the NCAA over the planned re-opening of three major airports in the country in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

The Public Relations officer of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, has confirmed receiving several calls from the press, demanding information on the authority’s preparedness for re-opening of the airports. She has however told them they are waiting for the approval from the NCAA.
