NO FIXED DATE FOR RESUMPTION OF SCHOOLS - FG
The Federal Government has said no date has been fixed for students to resume despite the directive from President Buhari to relax the lockdown on the FCT, Lagos, and Ogun.
The Minister of State for Education, Mr. Emeka Nwajiuba, disclosed this while replying to a question during yesterday’s briefing by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 pandemic.
The Government also said the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) had not cancelled its external exams as students would still take those exams when normalcy has been restored.
The Federal Ministry of Education ordered the immediate closure of tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools nationwide on March 26, following the outbreak of Coronavirus in the country as part of measures to contain the spread.
