NIGERIAN ARMY FOIL BOKO HARAM ATTACK ON KALA BALGE LGA OF BORNO

The Nigerian Army has foiled an attack from Boko Haram terrorists on Rann town, Kala Balge LGA of Borno State.


Eons Intelligence gathered that the terrorists attempted to infiltrate Rann town on Saturday May 1 but were resisted by gallant troops of the Nigerian Army.


The soldiers engaged the terrorists in a gun duel which lasted for an hour and inflicted severe injuries on them. Some of the insurgents fled leaving behind several weapons such as anti-aircraft gun barrel, AK 47 rifle, hand held communication radio, and different calibres of ammunition.


In a similar development, Boko Haram terrorists on Sunday May 2, attacked Ajiri town in Konduga LGA of Borno. Sources say the assailants set nine houses ablaze and killed several residents.


The attack was however thwarted by troops who were deployed to the community. A gun duel ensued between the terrorists and the troops and two soldiers died in the process while the terrorists fled with gunshot wounds.
