Troops Eliminate Boko Haram Commanders in Borno, Recover Arms and Motorcycles
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), supported by the air component, have eliminated nine Boko Haram terrorists, including two top commanders, during counter-insurgency operations in Borno State.
The operations, carried out on August 21 and 22, 2025, foiled attempted attacks on Bita and Wulgo communities. The slain commanders were identified as Abu Nazir (Munzir of Juye) and Abu Fatima (Munzir of Koloram), who were killed in a fierce gun battle at Wulgo.
During the operations, troops recovered AK-47 rifles, a cache of ammunition, and six motorcycles belonging to the insurgents.
The military high command commended the troops for the successful operation and urged them to sustain the offensive against terrorists despite ongoing challenges.
