GUNMEN KIDNAP OLORI-ILU OF IMOPE IJEBU
Gunmen on Saturday abducted the Olori-Ilu of Imope Ijebu, Ijebu North Local Government, Chief Kolawole Omotayo
It was gathered that the High Chief was kidnapped around 12noon along Oke Eri-Imope road, while driving down from Ijebu-Ode, where he had gone to buy something.
Sources say the abductors fired gunshots to deflate the tyres of his car before attacking him.
The Ogun State Police PRO, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident said security operatives are on top of the situation, adding that investigations have begun to rescue the victim alive and to also arrest the attackers.
Recall, Eons Intelligence reported that two female students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ayetoro campus, were kidnapped by unknown gunmen last Sunday.
The two students were however released on Tuesday.
