NIGERIAN ARMY RAID BOKO HARAM LOGISTICS STOCKPILE IN YOBE STATE, ARREST FUEL SUPPLIERS

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday May 25 raided a suspected Boko Haram logistics stockpile in Kurkareta town, Yobe State, and also arrested the insurgents’ fuel suppliers.



In a statement by Mohammed Yerima, Director, Army Public Relations, the successful operation was conducted by Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) in conjunction with local vigilantes in the community.



He said the successful raid was done following credible intelligence that some residents of the communities were supplying fuel to the terrorists.



The troops recovered 62 jerrycans loaded with petrol, and three vehicles belonging to the terrorists' suppliers with registration numbers DAL 626 YE (Kano), GBK 413 GR (Benue), and XA 390 SHN (Borno).
