RESOLUTIONS

Based on the endorsement of the Federal Government of Nigeria, the following resolutions were made:

1. Three (3) weeks extension for subscribers with NIN from 30th December, 2020 to 19th January, 2021.

Recall that the Federal Government on December 15 issued a two-week ultimatum to all mobile networks in the country to block all Subscriber Identification Modules (SIMs) without National Identification Number (NIN).

On December 16, the House of Representatives asked the NCC to extend the two-week ultimatum to ten weeks but the Commission is yet to rescind its directive.

The Lagos State Government had on Friday announced that it has banned Concerts, carnivals, and street parties until further notice. It also ordered the closure of all schools in the State due to a surge in Covid-19 infections.
