5 SOLDIERS KILLED AS BOKO HARAM ATTACK TROOPS IN BORNO
At least 5 soldiers lost their lives on Sunday during a Boko Haram attack in Maiduguri, Eons Intelligence has gathered.
Boko Haram terrorists armed with 2 cars laden with explosives and gun trucks attacked the Troops of 402 Special Force Task Force Brigade at a location given as Harbour Area Kafa at around 11 am, leaving 11 soldiers injured and 5 dead.
One of the cars laden with explosives was detonated and a military tank was destroyed during the encounter. Some military arms and ammunition were destroyed during the encounter including 2 anti-aircraft guns, a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Phantom, and a rocket-propelled grenade.
Eons Intelligence also gathered that at least 6 Boko Haram terrorists were killed and several escaped with gunshot wounds.
The Nigerian army recovered a gun truck mounted with an anti-aircraft gun, 2 AK 47 rifles, and a walkie talkie.
