ABUJA POLICE ARREST FOUR KIDNAPPERS, RECOVER AMMUNITION

Suspected 4-member kidnapping gang in connection with the kidnapping incident in Gwagwa have been arrested by the operatives of Federal Territory Capital Police Command in Abuja.


The information available indicates that the operatives of Utako division had a two-day streak operation between June 30, 2024 and July 3, 2024 trailing the notorious kidnappers which was successfully resulted in their arrest at Gwagwa and Dei-Dei, Abuja.


The suspects, Umar Abdullahi, a.k.a. Auta, 20; Likita Abubakar, 29; Salisu Sani, 24; Sabiu Mohammed, and Aliyu Suleiman, 24 were all in connection with the June 12, 2024, kidnapping incident where a victim was kidnapped, and N12 million was collected as ransom from the victim's family, while two others were killed.


Items recovered from them are 

Four AK-47 rifles, a Dane gun, two magazines, and eight unexpended live ammunition.


Meanwhile, they have all confessed to the crime while Investigation is still ongoing.
