BANDITS KILL 13 POLICEMEN IN BUNGUNDU LGA OF ZAMFARA STATE
Reports indicate that Bandits have killed 13 police officers in an ambush in Kurar Mota Village, Bungudu Local Government Area of the Zamfara State.
This was made known in a statement released by the State's Director-General, Media and Communication, Yusuf Idris Gusau.
He said Governor Matawalle, who visited the victims, directed that the injured policemen be conveyed to Yarima Bakura Specialist Hospital.
Seven other policemen were injured brutally during the incident.
The Governor said the State Government is partnering with security agencies in ensuring that they track down the perpetrators of the act.
Governor Matawalle, who had earlier scheduled an APC stakeholders’ meeting, suspended it, noting that his major priority is arresting the killers of the security operatives.
