EDO POLICE ARREST 22-YEAR-OLD MAN OVER POSSESION OF FIREARM AND POS MACHINE
The operative of Edo State Police Command has arrested one 22-year-old man identified as Francis Obinna Okoye, for alleged possession of firearm.
The information available indicates that the suspect who also has a POS machine in his possession was intercepted in a commercial bus travelling from Lagos to Anambra State on 7th April 2024 by the team of stop and search along Lagos-Benin expressway through Ovia river axis.
During the interrogation with the suspect, he lied to the operatives to have gotten the gun from one Emma, which was later acknowledged as lie after proper investigation.
Meanwhile, the suspect would soon be charged to court.
