GUNMEN KILL IMO CUSTOMARY COURT JUDGE IN COURT PREMISES
Tension in Imo state as Gunmen
Shot dead the chairman of Ejemekwuru Customary Court, Nnaemeka Ugboma in Oguta LGA, Imo State on Thursday 2 February 2023.
Information available indicates that the gunmen who rode on motorcycles invaded the court chamber when Nnaemeka Ugboma was presiding over a court session and shot him dead.
The incident halted the court sitting as lawyers, court staff, and litigants fled from the scene.
Meanwhile, his killing has brought panic into the Ejemekwuru community as natives and residents also fled their homes.
