POLICE RESCUE 15 ABDUCTED VICTIMS IN ZAMFARA
Operatives of Zamfara state police command have rescued 15 abducted persons along the Gusau-Funtua road.
Recall that Eons Intelligence had earlier reported how bandits on Tuesday blocked Gusau-Funtua road and kidnapped unspecified numbers of people.
The police operatives on receiving the news of the kidnapped persons mobilized a rescue operation and confidence-building patrol team to the area.
After an intensive gun battle, the criminals withdrew and fled into the forest, leaving the captives behind.
The operatives swiftly rushed into the bush and rescued 15 persons comprising seven women, six men, and two children.
The victims had been given the necessary medical checkup and had interactions with the police commissioner for further intelligence reports.
Meanwhile, the rescued victims would soon be reunited with their family members.
