PRESIDENT MAGUFULI DECLARES TANZANIA FREE OF CORONAVIRUS "BY THE GRACE OF GOD"
Tanzania President John Magufuli on Sunday declared the country free of Coronavirus by "the grace of God".
The President made this declaration at a church in the capital city of Dodoma.
President Magufuli who urged the citizens to continue taking precautions praised churchgoers at the service for not wearing face masks.
According to him, it was a sign that the country has overcome the fear of Coronavirus.
Magufuli had earlier encouraged Tanzanians to "pray Coronavirus away" claiming that the "satanic virus can't live in the body of Jesus Christ".

The last official records of COVID-19 cases in Tanzania was April 29. As of then, there were 509 reported cases and 21 deaths in the country.
However, the President was quoted blaming the rising number of Coronavirus patients in the country to faulty test kits.
