GUNMEN RAZE POLICE STATION, COURT IN NJABA LGA OF IMO STATE
Gunmen suspected to be members of the proscribed Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) on Saturday razed down the Atta Divisional police station and the Atta High court in Njaba LGA of Imo State.
The incident, which occurred on Saturday midnight, was accompanied by long hours of sporadic gunshots, sparking tension in the community.
Sources say the police station razed was still under construction so no fatalities were recorded
The assailants also razed down a health centre in the community.
Recently, there have been unprecedented attacks on Government facilities in the Eastern region. Security formations, INEC offices, Correctional centres, amongst others have all been attacked in the region, while several residents have been killed and others injured.
