IRATE YOUTHS APPREHENDED AFTER CAUSING MAYHEM IN PLATEAU COMMUNITY

In a disturbing turn of events, Kerang Mangu, a community in Plateau State, has been marred by violent unrest as irate youths engaged in destructive acts, attacking properties, and even assaulting Airforce Personnel enforcing a 24-hour curfew. Operation SAFE HAVEN has swiftly responded, condemning the actions and successfully apprehending the perpetrators.


The assailants, in a shocking display of aggression, targeted the troops deployed to maintain peace during the curfew, even resorting to firing at patrol vehicles. This not only posed a significant threat to the military personnel but also jeopardized the safety of the entire community.


In a subsequent operation, the military seized a cache of dangerous weapons from the attackers. The recovered arsenal includes an AK-47 rifle, four locally fabricated automatic rifles, a locally made mortar bomb launcher, ammunition, and various other weaponry.


The Nigerian Military strongly denounces this unlawful violence, emphasizing its commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the peace and security of the region. The community is urged to refrain from engaging in acts of violence and to respect the authority of the state, particularly the imposed 24-hour curfew aimed at safeguarding lives and property.
