ISWAP ORDERS ABDUCTION OF GOVERNOR ZULUM, MOBILIZING JIHADISTS FOR ANOTHER AMBUSH ON BORNO STATE CONVOY

Impeccable sources have obtained leaked information revealing active plans by the leadership of ISIS-linked ISWAP operating in pockets of territories in Northern Nigeria and the fringes of the Lake Chad Basin. The fragile terrorist leadership has instructed a joint unit of ISWAP commanders to launch a coordinated ambush on the returning convoy of the BORNO state government.

The specialist jihadist units have been tasked to abduct the BORNO state governor Prof Babagana Zulum using any means possible — if he chooses to travel by route to Maiduguri.

The joint ISWAP units have been spotted gathering with about 20 gun trucks in a location described by sources as about 1.5km away from Kukawa town —Southern flanks.

The armed jihadist units are suspected to have been deployed with the mission to launch a second and more catastrophic ambush on the convoy of vehicles transporting returning IDPs, BORNO state officials, and other commuters along the obscured long stretched road to and from Baga town.

Some of the surviving units responsible for the earlier September 25 noon attack on the convoy of BORNO state government bound for Baga — have been hiding at a location given as Buratai village by Modari for almost a week.

Another exposed hideout of the ISWAP units is a village close to Gudumbali northeastern axis, not more than 2km to Gudumbali town. Sources say this location served as one of the gathering points for the latest ambush along Monguno Cross Kauwa road.

Other locations of interest where ISWAP units have established hideout camps around Monguno Local Government Area (LGA) include Zankali, Duwabaye, Dumgurum, Kawuram, Kasawa, Dibinuwa, Ngollam, and Kangara — all known villages close to Mairamri.

The villages are used as preparation and launching grounds for conducting ambush attacks along Monguno-Maiduguri route, Magumeri town and villages around Gubio LGA.

 Recommendation

Civil and military state alert and extreme vigilance BUT not panic is required at all times - morning -day and sunset.

The convoy returning from Baga town should be on EXTREME alert en route to Maiduguri — jihadist have planted IEDs to trigger an ambush in the hysteria.

To facilitate the BORNO State resettlement plans to Baga town and free flow of movement along the Baga - Monguno road, there is an urgent need for coordination between the BORNO state government and the Nigerian Military for aerial coverage and immediate surveillance raids on the locations uncovered.

The war against Boko Haram ISWAP will be won when every civil and military agency coordinates their efforts — this is an intelligence-led war, and the people’s support is at the core of its effectiveness.

If you See something-Say Something!!
