JOINT SECURITY FORCES RESCUE 17 UNDER AGE GIRLS FROM BABY FACTORY USED TO SUPPLY ARMED GROUP LEADER

A joint operation involving the Department of State Services and other security forces has resulted in the rescue of seventeen under age girls from an isolated center located near the Cameroon border in Maiha LGA, Adamawa state.

The girls were reportedly being trafficked for the purpose of forced labor and sexual exploitation, and were being kept in a location that served as a "baby factory" to supply young girls to an armed group leader named Abubakar Sadiq, also known as Chamo.

The operation was carried out on June 23, 2023, and resulted in the arrest of several criminals who were involved in the trafficking of the girls. It is not yet clear how long the girls had been held in captivity or what conditions they were living in, but it is likely that they were subjected to physical, emotional, and psychological abuse during their time in captivity.

The rescue of these girls is a significant victory for the Department of State Services and other law enforcement agencies in the fight against human trafficking and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals. While much work remains to be done to eradicate this heinous practice, the successful rescue of these seventeen girls sends a strong message that those who engage in human trafficking will be held accountable for their crimes.
