ORLU CRISIS: POLICE ARRESTS OFFICERS ASSAULTING FIVE PERSONS IN VIRAL VIDEO
The Nigerian Police has arrested officers captured on video assaulting five persons at Banana Junction in Orlu, Imo State.
Nasiru Mohammed, the Commissioner of Police in the state via a statement released on Thursday, condemned the inhumane treatment meted out to the yet to be identified persons as seen in a viral video.
"The officers were seen lying five persons down on the floor, and flogging them in the process, which is unethical, unprofessional and unacceptable," the statement read.
The erring officers have been identified, and disciplinary actions have commenced against them, the police said.
