POLICE PARADES 113 PERSONS FOR VIOLATING COVID-19 PROTOCOLS IN LAGOS STATE

The Lagos State Police command on Monday March 8, 2021, paraded One Hundred and Thirteen (113) persons at the Command Headquarters, Ikeja, for violating COVID-19 protocols in the State.


In a statement by the State's Police PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the violators were arrested on Sunday at Garbana Club, Ajao Estate and DNA Club, Victoria Island, Lagos, by security operatives led by CSP Sola Jejeloye.


The Police PRO stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, vowed to go after club owners and their Landlords who violated the town planning approvals of the State by converting their properties meant for other purposes to night-clubs.

  

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police had a meeting with all the Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Heads of Departments today Monday 8th March,  2021, at the POWA Hall, Oduduwa, Ikeja, on having better security of Lagos State.



The police boss rolled out his plans and strategies to be adopted in reducing crimes and criminality in the State and to specifically tackle the menace of cultism in certain areas in Lagos.


CP Odumosu also warned against the lackadaisical attitude of security operatives in ensuring that COVID-19 protocols are obeyed in the State. 



Eons Intelligence had earlier reported that the Police boss redeployed the DPO in Ajao Estate and his senior officers for allowing night clubbing and violation of other COVID-19 protocols in the area.
