SECURITY OPERATIVES DISCOVER EXPLOSIVES IN BORNO FARM

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Command, in Borno State, has discovered explosives in a farm in Auno village, Konduga LGA of Borno State.


The State Commandant, Musa Farouk, who briefed newsmen on Tuesday said the device was recovered by Agro Rangers.


He said; “It has been confirmed to be Improvised Explosive Device (IED). We will liaise with the police bomb squad for its detonation.''


He also said the NSCDC has arrested 13 suspects for vandalism, bunkering, theft, possession of illicit drugs, and illegal assembly during curfew hours.


The Commandant noted that the security personnel recovered a fuel truck, two generators, electricity and communication cables as well as illicit drugs including some quantity of cannabis Sativa, from the suspects.
